Another essential work of anarchist thought, Spooner's The Constitution of No Authority is the perfect stocking stuffer for the dyed-in-the-wool American constitutionalist who believes a document signed a couple of hundred years ago by a bunch of men who are centuries in the grave somehow binds everyone born within an arbitrarily defined (and changing) geographical area. If that sounds inflammatory, it is; but Spooner writes it in a perfectly logical way that makes the argument seem like obvious common sense. ~ James Corbett
